How to Perform Tayammum

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener (M. S. K.) from Ha'il sent a message containing two questions; in his first question he says: Is tayammum for a need a single strike on the ground, or more? That is because some people said: It is necessary to strike three times. Please guide us to the correct ruling? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The correct ruling is that tayammum is a single strike; this is the best. If one strikes twice, there is no harm, but the correct ruling and the best is a single strike, based on what is in the two Sahihs of the hadith of 'Amir ibn Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about that, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explained it to him, saying:
That you say it like this...أن تقول هكذا..
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck the ground with his hands a single strike, then wiped with them his face and his palms.
This indicates that this is the sunnah (recommended practice): a single strike, then you wipe your face and your palms with your hands up to the wrist. The forearm is not wiped, but only the palm, from the tips of the fingers to the wrist. This is the sunnah. If one strikes twice, one for the face and one for the hands, there is no blame on him, but the best is a single strike. This is how the authentic sunnah came from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
