The Ruling on Speaking During Ablution

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A sister from the news section, who indicated her name with the letter (M), asks: Is it true that speaking during wudu' (ablution) invalidates it?

Answer:
No, that is incorrect. Speaking during wudu' does not invalidate the wudu', praise be to Allah. If one performs wudu' while speaking to someone, the wudu' is valid, provided the wudu' is performed correctly. If he performs the prescribed wudu'—rinsing his mouth, sniffing water into his nose, washing his face, washing his hands up to the elbows, wiping his head including his ears, and washing his feet up to the ankles—then the wudu' is valid, even if he is speaking. There is no harm in speaking. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
