The Ruling on Supplication During Ablution

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the Syrian Arab Republic: -Deir al-Zor- The listener: Khansa Sa'id sent a message containing a number of questions, among which is a question in which she says: Is supplication during ablution valid, and is it prescribed, such as: "O Allah, give us to drink from the water of al-Kawthar," or "O Allah, let us smell the fragrance of Paradise," and so on? And what does one say during ablution? May Allah reward you with good?

Answer:
There is no prescribed supplication during ablution; rather, what is prescribed is to mention Allah at the beginning, and then to recite the testimony of faith at the end. So at the beginning, one says: "In the name of Allah" when washing his hands for ablution, at the start of ablution. And when he finishes, he says: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. O Allah, make me among those who repent, and make me among those who purify themselves. Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness, O Allah, and I repent to You."
As for during the washing of the face and the hands and wiping them ....... there is no prescribed supplication. If one supplicates, there is no blame on him, but there is a specific dhikr. However, if he supplicates while performing ablution: "O Allah, forgive me," or "O Allah, have mercy on me," or "O Allah, save me from the Fire," or others; there is no blame in that, but there is nothing prescribed during ablution. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
