Ruling on allocating inheritance to sons to the exclusion of daughters

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says in this question: O His Eminence the Shaykh, my father wrote the inheritance for us, the sons, excluding the daughters, and left out his wife and my sisters; on the grounds that the inheritance is simple, and that my sisters have been educated, have worked, and he has prepared their marital homes, which is equivalent to their inheritance. What is your advice to fathers regarding this matter, O His Eminence the Shaykh?

Answer:
It is not permissible for fathers to allocate something to the sons exclusively; rather, it is obligatory that they leave the estate for everyone:
for the male, what is equal to the share of two femalesلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنثَيَيْنِ
[Surat al-Nisa:11]. As for what he gave them at the time of marriage, that is a different matter and has no connection to inheritance. As for the inheritance, it must be distributed among everyone according to the division of Allah. It is not permissible for the father to allocate something to the males exclusively, nor to allocate something to the females exclusively, but rather he must leave them to the division of Allah:
Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two femalesيُوصِيكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي أَوْلادِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنثَيَيْنِ
[Surat al-Nisa:11]. It is not permissible to allocate something to any one of them, whether old or young, whether knowledgeable or ignorant, whether male or female, but rather it is obligatory that he leave the matter to the division of Allah among everyone. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Your Eminence.
