Please clarify the meaning of this hadith for us?

Answer:
This is an authentic hadith. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the house of Zaynab one day while saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Woe to the Arabs because of evil that has come near. Today a hole has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog as large as this." pointing with two of his fingers making a circle.ويل للعرب من شر قد اقترب، فتح اليوم من ردم يأجوج ومأجوج مثل هذا؛ وحلق بين إصبعيه
Sahih al-Bukhari 3598
Zaynab said to him: O Messenger of Allah, will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? He said:
Yes, if there is much wickedness.نعم، إذا كثر الخبث
Muwatta Malik 56:22
Meaning: When evil and sins become widespread, for the prevalence of sins and evil is among the causes of destruction, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in another hadith:
lf the people see evil and do not change it, soon Allah will send His punishment upon them all.إن الناس إذا رأوا المنكر فلم يغيروه؛ أوشك أن يعمهم الله بعقابه
Musnad Ahmad 1Sahih (Darussalam)
.
Therefore, it is obligatory to forbid what is wrong by action; if one is unable, then by speech; and if one is unable, then by the heart. And Allah says :
Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:78]
They used not to forbid one another from doing what they did, which was evil. Evil was what they used to do [Al-Ma'idah: 78-79]. Therefore, it is obligatory for Muslims to forbid what is wrong, and it is incumbent upon those in authority to forbid it, and upon a person in his home with his family, with his wife, and with his children, and upon the people of hisbah appointed for this matter, it is incumbent upon them to forbid what is wrong. For this reason, the Glorious and Exalted says in His great Book:
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ
[At-Tawbah: 71].
So when corruption and sins become widespread, this becomes one of the causes of the destruction of the nation, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah if you do not forbid it. Yes.
