Ruling on missed prayers due to undergoing surgery

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
It is well known that after a surgical operation, the patient remains under anesthesia until he regains consciousness, and after that, he remains in pain from the operation for hours. So, should he pray before entering the operation, even though the time for prayer has not yet entered, or should he delay the prayer until he is able to perform it with full awareness, even if that is delayed for more than a day?

Answer:
The first obligation is upon the doctor to look into the matter: if it is possible to delay the start of treatment until the time enters and he prays both Dhuhr and Asr if the time for Dhuhr enters, or Maghrib at night, if Maghrib enters he prays both Maghrib and Isha. As for if the treatment is... then the patient is excused. So when he regains consciousness, he prays, making up what is due from him, even if it is after... whenever he regains consciousness, he makes up what is due from him, and praise be to Allah, and he owes nothing. Like the sleeper, when he wakes up and becomes alert and his consciousness returns to him, he prays the times that were missed in order, arranging them: Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, in order, and praise be to Allah, and there is no blame on him.
