What is the ruling on the use of birth control pills and the IUD?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
People often ask about the ruling on birth control pills, and some of them ask about the ruling on inserting the IUD, which is a device placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy.

Answer:
If there is a pressing need for it, there is nothing wrong with it. If there is a pressing need for the pills and the doctors determine that what is in them is harmful to the need, such as a sick woman, or one who suffers from illnesses due to pregnancy, or one who does not give birth except with great difficulty that endangers her; then there is nothing wrong if the pills do not cause harm. Or if it is because she has small children and fears she will become pregnant in the first and second year, there is no objection to her using them in the first and second year so that she can raise her children, for the sake of need and public benefit. The IUD is likewise, if it is for the sake of public benefit and need; because some women are harmed by the pills.
