Is continuity required in the full ritual bath?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is continuity required in the full ritual bath, or is it permissible to separate the washing?

Answer:
The recommended practice is continuity, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to maintain continuity. However, if he neglects something and washes it afterwards, there is no harm. If he neglects a part of his body, such as his head or his chest, and then washes it, praise be to Allah.
Q: What if he separates the washing for a long time, meaning he washes some of its parts?
A: The recommended practice is continuity, and what is prescribed is continuity. One should not intentionally leave it out. But if he finds that he neglected something and then remembers it, he washes it. For example, if he forgets to rinse his mouth or forgets to sniff water into his nose, and then remembers, he rinses his mouth and sniffs water into his nose with the intention of the full ritual bath, and praise be to Allah.
