Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How do you reconcile Umm Jurayj's supplication:
My Lord, don't give him death unless he has seen the fate of the prostitutesاللهم لا تُمته حتى ينظر إلى وجوه المُومسات
Sahih Muslim 2550b
with the hadith
The supplication of any of you is answered as long as he does not make supplication for something which is a wrong action or cutting off ties of kinshipيُستجاب لأحدكم ما لم يدع بإثمٍ أو قطيعةٍ
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 655
?

Answer:
She supplicated because she saw that he had cut off her kinship ties, and she had a right over him, so Allah answered her supplication to show His servants the lessons, for He possesses perfect wisdom . Perhaps a disbeliever may be answered, and perhaps another may be answered for a profound reason.
Q: Is it permissible to curse someone with a sin? Meaning: If one wants to curse an oppressor, does he curse him with fornication or drinking intoxicants?
A: No, it is not befitting. Rather, one should supplicate for him to be guided, except for a person who harms the Muslims, in which case one supplicates for his death, that Allah may take him with the taking of a Mighty and Capable One, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against Abu Jahl and his like. As for the rest, one supplicates for their guidance.
Q: Is the hermitage a room or a cave?
A: It is a place of worship; it may be a room, or it may be a complete house.
Q: Is it established that the worshipper prayed two rak'ahs before the child attacked him?
A: Yes, he prayed two rak'ahs. He said, "Give me time until I pray two rak'ahs," then he supplicated to his Lord.
Q: So, is it prescribed to pray two rak'ahs when in need?
A: In times of calamity, prayer is among the means of good, and Allah says:
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayerيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ
[al-Baqarah: 153].
Q: Is it taken from this hadith that if a person is in voluntary prayer and one of his parents calls him, he breaks it?
A: Yes, for it was obligatory for him to break it, because dutifulness to them is obligatory, and it is permissible to break voluntary prayer. However, he was scrupulous and the matter was confusing to him, so he continued in his prayer.
Q: And if he is in an obligatory prayer?
A: No, he does not break it except in dire necessity, such as a blind man who fears falling into something, or a snake he fears, or a beast he fears. The point is that in dire necessity, he breaks it.
Q: In Surat Yusuf:
And a witness from her family testifiedوَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا
[Yusuf: 26], was he not an infant?
A: This is what indicates that he was young.
Q: Was Jurayj strong in certainty until Allah supported him?
A: A worshipper who worships Allah among Allah's servants until Allah answered his supplication and cleared his name. He tested him and then saved him. He tested him with his mother's supplication, then saved him and clarified his innocence.
