The Criterion for Sitting with the One Who Commits Evil While Rebuking Him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Eating with the one who commits evil, drinking with him, and continuing to do so while continuing to rebuke him?

Answer:
No, the obligatory thing, at the very least, is to boycott him; because if you eat with him and drink with him, the rebuke weakens, he becomes lenient with you, and he does not care; but with the rebuke: leaving the company.
Q: And if the rebuke is constant in his gathering?
A: When a person rebukes the evil, he does not become a companion to its doer or a dining partner with him, but the general gathering does no harm; in the general gathering, if you rebuke the evil, it does not harm you.
Q: So is boycotting more appropriate?
A: If the public benefit requires it, and if the public benefit requires continuing the call, it is continued, but you do not become his companion; you continue the call and the rebuke; perhaps Allah will benefit through that.
Q: So is the boycotting of people according to each case?
A: Yes, according to the Shari'ah public benefit.
Q: If they are in one house and the father does not rebuke the required rebuke, for example: a group of brothers, some of whom are righteous?
A: The righteous one rebukes the wicked one, even if the father did not rebuke; the good brother rebukes his brother who committed the sin, rebukes him, and directs him to good.
Q: But some of the righteous can separate into an independent house, and others cannot?
A: He rebukes according to his capacity, and if he remains in the house, if he sees the public benefit in that.
