The ruling on one who was breastfed by a woman who has co-wives

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a question from a female questioner from Iraq. She says: If a person was breastfed by a woman who has co-wives, are the daughters of all of them forbidden to him, as I read in the book *Muqaddimat al-Wusul ila Tariq al-Rasul*?
Answer: Yes, if a person is breastfed by a woman who has co-wives, then the children of the co-wives are his brothers from his father, and her children are his full siblings through breastfeeding, provided that the breastfeeding occurred five times or more, where he holds the breast and sucks the milk five times, each time separate from the other, whether in one sitting or in different sittings or on different days, as long as it is within the age of breastfeeding, which is two years. This breastfeeding makes him a son of the husband—the husband of the woman who breastfed him—and makes the husband’s children from the co-wives his brothers from his father. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Breast-feeding makes unlawful (for marriages) the same things that blood tie make unlawful.يحرم من الرضاع مايحرم من النسب
Sunan Ibn Majah 1937Sahih (Darussalam)
and the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He):
your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursingوَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللَّاتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ
[Surat al-Nisa: 23]. This encompasses sisters from the father, from the mother, and from both. Yes.
The presenter: And the daughters of the co-wives as well?
The Shaykh: The daughters of the co-wives are his sisters, and the children of the co-wives are his brothers, all of them being siblings from the father, like kinship by blood. And the children of the woman from other than this husband, if she has children from a husband before or after him, are his siblings from his mother. Yes.
And as noted in this, as mentioned earlier, it must be five breastfeedings or more. Yes.
