The ruling on one who drank a medication that caused her fetus to be aborted

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message from the questioner Muhammad Hashim Sa'id, an Egyptian national working in the Yemen Arab Republic. The brother Muhammad Hashim says in his message: My wife was five months pregnant, and she experienced back pain. One of her relatives advised her to drink vinegar to relieve the pain. After she drank the vinegar, the fetus was aborted immediately. Is there a sin on my wife? If there is a sin on her, what is the expiation? Or is the sin and the expiation on the one who gave her this prescription?
Answer: The specialized doctors should be consulted about this matter. If they see that drinking vinegar causes the fetus to be aborted, then the blood money and the expiation are upon her; because she is the one who directly caused it, and she is the one who erred by taking the prescription from someone other than a doctor. But if it does not harm the fetus according to what is known among doctors, then this is a matter from Allah and a decree from Allah that does not harm her, and nothing is required of her. The cause may have been something other than the vinegar. Yes...
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
