Advice for a religious young man afflicted with the company of bad companions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first message in this episode is from listener (M.R.S.) from Hail. Our brother’s message is somewhat lengthy; he says in it:
I am a twenty-two-year-old religious young man, praise be to Allah, but I keep company with friends who do not pray. I have advised them repeatedly, but to no avail, and my advice only increased their insistence on sins. I tried to boycott them, but I could not do so because they have been my friends since childhood, and I do not like any other young men besides them. I have suffered psychological disturbances because of what I hear from people, who say: How can someone like you associate with people like these? I ask you, Your Eminence the Shaykh, to advise me on how to act. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows:
So praise be to Allah who guided you and directed you to that which brings Him (Glorified and Exalted is He) pleasure, and provided you with uprightness in His religion. So thank Allah for this great good and be grateful to Allah. We advise you to be cautious of these companions who do not pray, for their company harms you in your religion, your worldly life, and your reputation. So fear Allah and beware of them. You will find, if Allah wills, better than them. So seek out the righteous and good companions, for they will help you in good and guide you to the means of salvation.
As for the wicked, they are evil for you and a harm to you in your religion and your worldly life. So beware of them and stay away from their company as long as they do not benefit from the advice. So beware of them, boycott them, stay away from them, and ask Allah for their guidance. We ask Allah to guide them and to protect you from their evil.
So beware, beware of them as long as they remain in their bad state, and seek out good companions, and be happy with the good, for Allah will help you. As He (Glorified and Exalted is He) said:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
[Al-Talaq:4] ..
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا ۝ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا يَحْتَسِبُ
[Al-Talaq:2, 3]. So be upright in the command of Allah, maintain His obedience, and ask your Lord for success and assistance. And stay away from the wicked to the greatest extent, so that perhaps you may be saved from their evil. And Allah will compensate you with better than them. Yes.
