Question:
The first message in this episode is from one of our brother listeners from Haql, whose name is Khdhir Salem. Our brother asks in one of his questions: What is obligatory for a young man who wants to be chaste regarding desires and follow the path of truth? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
It is obligatory for the young man, and for those who are not young, to fear Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) at all times, and to be cautious of everything Allah has forbidden. This is not specific to the young man, but applies to every person of legal age, every male and female, whether he is eighty or ninety years old. It is obligatory for every Muslim, young or old, male or female, to fear Allah, to stay away from the prohibitions of Allah, to maintain obedience to Allah and His Messenger which Allah has made obligatory upon him, to stay away from everything that angers Allah , and to exert his utmost effort in this wherever he is, whether traveling or resident, in hardship or ease, in health or illness... in all circumstances.
And when he is sincere in that, and Allah knows the sincerity in his heart, Allah will make his affair easy and help him and guide him, as He said (peace and blessings be upon him):[At-Talaq 65:2] and He will provide for him from where he does not expect [Al-Talaq: 2, 3].. [Al-Talaq: 4].
And among the fear of Allah is that one keeps the company of the righteous, striving to be in the company of the good who help him in the obedience of Allah and keep him away from the prohibitions of Allah, and he stays away from the company of the wicked. Likewise, the woman strives to stay in her home, and if there is a need to go out; let it be to the good and righteous... the good and righteous women, with the permission of her husband if she has one, and she stays away from visiting those who call to evil or from whom evil is feared. And this is the straight path to safety from the causes of evil: that a person stays away from what Allah has forbidden, that he strives to perform what Allah has made obligatory, and that he occupies himself with good, such as reading the Noble Qur'an and the remembrance of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and other forms of good, and that he keeps the company of the good and stays away from the company of the wicked... and other forms of good. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
