The necessity of satisfying the owners of rights taken from them and returning them to them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third message in this session came from the sister questioner (M. M. 'A) from Saudi Arabia. She says in her message: Many years ago, I took items from a woman's house that are specific to women, valued at approximately twenty riyals. When she asked for them back, I denied it and said: "I will take it from you on the Day of Resurrection." This word still hurts me greatly now that I have grown older. At that time, I did not know the ruling on theft due to my ignorance and youth. I threw them into a well at that time out of fear of my family so they would not beat me. Now I am in pain and want you to guide me on what to do so that I may be saved from sin. May Allah reward you?
Answer: You must seek the forgiveness of the owner of the right or give her the equivalent of that money. If she forgives you, praise be to Allah. If she refuses, you must pay her the equivalent of that amount until she forgives you. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
