Ruling on Cosmetic Surgery for Necessity

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The listener (S. M.) sent a message saying: I would like to inquire about a cosmetic operation on the nose. I am a young man of twenty years old, and I have a problem with my nose regarding its large size, as it is long and affects the eye, causing a twitch in the eye which affects vision. It is expected that it will grow larger every year. I also notice that everyone looks at me, and it may also cause strabismus in the eye. Please advise us, may Allah reward you. Is performing a cosmetic operation considered forbidden or is it lawful? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: I do not know of any harm in that. If it can be done without harm to you, there is no problem, just as operations are performed to fix teeth, to fix the eyelashes, and to fix the eye if there is a defect in it. So the matter in this is broad, and praise be to Allah. If the specialized doctors can perform an operation that benefits you and does not harm you, there is no blame on you, if Allah wills. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
