Cosmetic procedures are permissible with conditions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second message in this episode is from listener Muhammad Latif from Baghdad, Iraq. Among several questions in his message, he asks: Are cosmetic procedures permissible? For example, reducing the size of the nose or mouth if it is large, or correcting teeth if they are crooked. Please inform us; may Allah reward you.
Answer: If there is a defect in the mouth, nose, or teeth, there is nothing wrong with it. However, if the nose and mouth are sound, I do not know of any evidence that permits tampering with them to reduce their size or otherwise. If there is a condition such as discoloration, wounds, or something extra to the known natural creation—meaning something considered a blemish in the face, nose, or mouth, such as dark spots—one may use medication to restore it to the state of the other skin of the same type as the skin on the face, or for sores or the like, there is nothing wrong with it. However, changing the creation with which Allah created him without a reason other than mere beautification and cosmetic enhancement, I do not know of any evidence that permits this. As for the molars, it is the same: if they are sound and the intention is to file them down, that is not allowed. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
Cursed are the women who file their teeth for the sake of beautyلعن المتفلجات للحسن
. However, if there is a defect of excess or deficiency requiring correction, there is nothing wrong with it.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
