The ruling on fasting exclusively in the month of Rajab

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! Our sister asks frequently about the month of Rajab and about fasting in it. Does Rajab have any specific distinction?
Answer: ... It is disliked to single it out; it is disliked to single it out for voluntary fasting; because it was a practice of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, they would exalt it through fasting, so the scholars disliked singling it out for voluntary fasting. However, if a person fasts it to make up for fasting that is obligatory upon him, such as making up days of Ramadan, or as an expiation, there is no blame on him. Or if he fasts from it what Allah has prescribed, such as Mondays and Thursdays, or the three white days, all of this has no blame in it, praise be to Allah, just like the other months.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
