The ruling on saying to a person who sneezes: "May your sneeze be lawful"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks and says: Many people have a custom, which is that when someone sneezes, the person speaking says, "May your sneeze be lawful." Is this statement correct?

Answer:
There is no basis for this; it is the talk of the common people with no basis. However, what is prescribed for a believer when he sneezes is to say: "Praise be to Allah." And whoever hears him should say to him: "May Allah have mercy on you." And he should say: "May Allah guide you and rectify your condition." This is the Sunnah. When one sneezes, he says: "Praise be to Allah," or "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds," or "Praise be to Allah in every condition." And whoever hears him says: "May Allah have mercy on you." This is the Sunnah. And he says to the one who said, "May Allah have mercy on you": "May Allah guide you and rectify your condition." This is how the Sunnah came from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
