Question:
This is a letter we received from Khamis Mushayt from the sender (E. J. A), in which he says: I performed Hajj in the year 1399 AH, and it was my first Hajj, and it remains my first Hajj to this day. During that Hajj, I completed all the rituals, but it happened that I threw the pebbles at the large pillar on the Day of Sacrifice, and on the second day I threw the pebbles at only one pillar, which was due to forgetfulness, along with a lack of full knowledge. On the third day, I went with a group and threw the pebbles at the three pillars, but I forgot that I had thrown the pebbles at only one pillar on the second day, and I did not remember it until later. He says: I remembered the one I had not thrown after a year or two and a half. He wants a ruling on what is required of him? And what is obligatory for him in this situation?
May Allah guide you.

Answer:
He must offer a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered in Makkah. He must slaughter an animal for the throwing he left off on the eleventh day, slaughtering it in Makkah. That is, he should appoint a trustworthy person, or he himself should come and slaughter it in Makkah. It should be either a two-year-old goat or a one-year-old sheep, similar to the sacrificial animal for tamattu' and qiran, just like the 'Id sacrifice. He slaughters it in Makkah and distributes it among the poor for the throwing he left off. Yes, and this makes up for it; it makes the Hajj valid.

Question: But if he performed Hajj and threw them with the ...

Answer: No, that does not suffice; its time has passed. Its time has passed, yes.
