The ruling on raising the head and moving it to the right and left during prostration

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a message sent to the program from Baghdad, sent by the listener Shaker Abu Mahmoud. He says: In prayer, during prostration, what leads to prolonging the prostration is that sometimes we raise the head, or move it to the right and left from the place of prostration to rest, or for similar reasons. Does this count as the end of that prostration, such that it is not permissible to continue with the prostration afterward? Or how do you guide people?

Answer:
This action is disliked and should not be done, because it is idle play. However, one should prostrate for as long as one is able, without prolonging it to the point where it leads to this action. One should prostrate, recite the glorification three or five times, make supplication as is easy, and then raise the head. One should not burden oneself. If one is the imam, one should not make it difficult for the people. As for raising the head and waving it, that is not permissible; it is disliked and is idle play that should not be done. If it becomes frequent and continuous, it may invalidate the prayer. But in any case, it is disliked and should not be done. The prostration remains valid if one raises the head slightly and then puts it back down; this is part of the perfection of prostration and does not invalidate it. But this action should not be done. Rather, one should prostrate as much as Allah makes easy for him, then raise the head completely, and perform the second prostration. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
