Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Also, you say: Is it permissible for me to distribute my tasbih among the deceased whom I love?
Knowing that this tasbih is the tasbih of voluntary prayer and is done with a misbaha (prayer beads)?
Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with good for me and for all the Muslims.
Answer:
Her tasbih is better for her; her tasbih and recitation are better for her, and she should not distribute it to anyone. She should recite tasbih, tahlil, and Quran for herself. The best way is with the fingers; this is the best, with her fingers. Even if she makes a mistake, Allah preserves it for her and stores it for her . So the best is with the fingers, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite tasbih with his fingers; this is the best.
But after every prayer, thirty-three tasbih, thirty-three tahmid, and thirty-three takbir, then she says: There is no god but Allah alone, having no partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, and He is over all things competent. After every prayer, she counts them ten, ten, and ten, three times: Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar, three times with all her fingers, then three times with three fingers. This is ninety-nine. Then she says to complete the hundred: There is no god but Allah alone, having no partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, and He is over all things competent. This is a Sunnah after every prayer.
And if she wishes, she may say: Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allah, and Allahu Akbar, twenty-five times, after every prayer. This is one type, and this is another type; all of it is good, with her fingers. And the man is likewise with his fingers, and with the right hand is better; with the right hand is better. And if he recites tasbih with all of them, there is no harm. Yes.
