The Ruling on Praying on the Roof of the Mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
His fourth question asks: What is the ruling on praying on the roof of the mosque?
It is known that the roof is separated from the ma'mum (those praying behind the imam) who are behind the imam, and the rows on the roof may advance ahead of the imam.

Answer:
Praying on the roofs is valid, whether on the roof of the mosque or the roof of..., it is valid, as long as they are able to follow the imam by seeing him or by hearing his takbir (saying Allahu akbar); their prayer is valid because they are in the mosque and with the imam.
However, they must not advance ahead of the imam; they should be behind the imam or to his right and left, and they must not go ahead of him. It is not permissible to advance ahead of him; rather, it is obligatory that they be behind him, and in case of need, to his right and left. Otherwise, let them be behind him, like the rows behind him on the lower level, and their prayer is valid if they are able to follow by seeing the imam, or seeing those behind him, or hearing the voice. Yes.
