Seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a believer sees the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his dream, is this vision true? And if the vision repeats several times, what is your comment on this? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 110. So if he sees him in his normal appearance, of medium height among men, not very tall and not short, but medium, with a black beard in which there are only a few white hairs, and he is one of the most handsome of men, having been given by Allah beauty of form and character, (peace and blessings be upon him), then if he sees him in this appearance, he has seen him. If he commands him to do good and calls him to good, he should hasten to do it. And if he forbids him from evil, he should hasten to leave it.
So the conclusion is that if he sees him in his appearance, he has seen him (peace and blessings be upon him). If he commands disobedience, he has not seen him; rather, he is not in his appearance, but it is a Shaytan who has taken that form. If he commands him to commit zina, or to commit sins, or to steal, or to leave the prayer, this is a sign that it is not the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and that it has been made to resemble him.
As for if he commands you to do good, commands you to pray, commands you to be upright in the religion of Allah, to maintain family ties, to be dutiful to parents, or if he does not command you with anything, but you saw him in his appearance, then you have seen him. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
