Ruling on a divorced woman residing with her ex-husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A questioner from Sudan, who used the initials (A. M. A.) for her name, asks in this question: Is it permissible for a divorced woman to reside with her ex-husband in the same house for the sake of their children?

Answer:
This matter requires detailed consideration: If her residing in the house poses no danger and there is no fear of a forbidden occurrence between her and her husband, from whom she has been completely separated by the third final divorce or by her exiting the waiting period; if there is no fear in this, for example, if there are many people in the house, and she has a separate area, and her husband and his family have a separate area or another separate area.
The point is: If the place is free of danger, and she is with others, and there is no seclusion, and she sits with her children while maintaining the hijab from him, if she has become forbidden to him by complete separation through exiting the waiting period, or because he pronounced the third of the three divorces, then there is no blame on her in that.
However, if her remaining in the house involves a doubtful matter or danger, she should not remain with him. If there is a fear that he will be alone with her, then this contains evil and is a means to evil and bad suspicion. It is obligatory for her to be far away with her children in another house. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, Your Eminence.
