The ruling on one who doubts the number of rak'ahs after leaving the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A person prayed 'Asr, and after he finished, he left. When he returned a short time later, he remembered that he was not sure whether he had prayed three or four rak'ahs. What should he do?

Answer:
As long as the doubt arose after that, and when he finished the prayer, when he finished the prayer, he had no doubt, then a doubt that arises later does not harm and is not to be heeded, nor is it to be attended to. However, if he doubts during the prayer before he says the taslim, whether he prayed three or two? He builds on certainty, he makes it two and performs the third, or if he doubts whether he prayed three or four, he builds on certainty, which is the lesser, so he makes it three and performs the fourth, then he performs the prostration for forgetfulness if he is an imam or praying alone.
As for if he is a ma'mum, he follows his imam; he has no consideration regarding the doubt, but he follows his imam and his doubt is not to be heeded. As for after the taslim, if a new doubt arises for him, this is not considered and is not to be attended to. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah bless you.
