Interrupting the prayer in the event of an accident or drowning

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Also, our brother asks in his own way, and the meaning of his question is: Is it permissible for me to interrupt the prayer when I hear about a fire accident, a drowning, or something similar?

Answer:
Yes, if there is an accident, a drowning, or a fire, and you fear for your children or for the Muslims, you interrupt the prayer and participate in rescuing the Muslims or rescuing your family. Then you return to the prayer and start it anew. As for a drowning or fire that does not harm you or the Muslims, or a drowning of things over which you have no control, or a fire of belongings that cannot be saved or whose loss causes no harm, then you continue in your prayer.
The bottom line is: if interrupting the prayer benefits the Muslims or benefits your family, then interrupt it to rescue those affected by the drowning or fire, and then return to the prayer, and praise be to Allah. Yes; because the drowning and fire cause the danger to pass, whereas the prayer does not pass, as it is possible to make it up. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. Can other things be analogized to this, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh: Yes, such as things from which there is fear, like a person who sees a blind man near a well or a pit, fearing he might fall in, or a wolf or lion near him, fearing for his safety, or a rabid dog. He interrupts the prayer to rescue him, then returns to his prayer from the beginning.

The presenter: Our brother mentions scorpions, snakes, and the like?

The Shaykh: And the like, if there is fear for someone from them, there is no harm.
However, if he can kill it while in prayer because it is close and he can strike it while in prayer, there is no harm; he strikes it while in prayer.

The presenter: Even if he moves forward a few steps or turns to the right or left?

The Shaykh: Even if he moves forward a few steps, but toward the qiblah; it must be toward the qiblah.

The presenter: Toward the qiblah only.

The Shaykh: Due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Kill the two black things during prayer, the snake and scorpion.اقتلوا الأسودين في الصلاة: الحية والعقرب
Sunan Abi Dawud 921Sahih (Al-Albani)
.

The presenter: May Allah send prayers upon him. May Allah reward you with good.
