The ruling on inviting people to a wedding feast in the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The following message was received by the program from listener Abdullah Bati al-Mutayri. Our brother has a set of questions. In his first question, he says: We are in a village where we pray in the village’s main mosque. After we conclude the prayer with the tasbih, tahmid, and takbir, at times one of the worshippers who prays in the mosque invites people to drink coffee at his house, and this invitation is made inside the mosque. Is this permissible inside the mosque, or is it disliked? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in that. There is no harm in inviting people to coffee, or to a lunch or dinner feast; there is nothing wrong with that. This is not of the same kind as inviting people to buy and sell, for buying and selling is [forbidden], but this is a known good deed and an act of excellence. Yes.
