Question:
We return at the beginning of this episode to a message sent to the program from the Sultanate of Oman, sent by one of the female listeners from there, who identified herself with the letters (M) and (S). Our sister presented an issue in a previous episode, and in this episode she has another issue, the summary of which is:
That she was not maintaining the prayer as it should be, and now she feels great regret, and she asks Your Eminence what is required of her if she—praise be to Allah, she has become upright—has become upright in a good way, and maintains her prayers at their times, but she is pained by her past. Is there anything required of her, Your Eminence?
May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
Repentance wipes out what came before it, and praise be to Allah, and there is nothing required of her except that she fear her Lord, and there is no making up of prayers required of her. Rather, she must repent to Allah, adhere to repentance and uprightness, maintain the prayers, maintain all that Allah has made obligatory, and beware of all that Allah has forbidden; for Allah the Exalted said: [al-Nur: 31].
And He the Exalted said: [al-Tahrim: 8]. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: meaning: it demolishes what came before it. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam) Praise be to Allah if Allah grants the favor of repentance, praise be to Allah. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
