The ruling on one who claims to know the conditions of the dead

Question:
A message was received for the program from the listener: Ahmad ibn Ahmad ibn Ali Aatif. Our brother says: In our country, there are some men and women who claim that during the night they descend to the graves, or more accurately, that they know from the words of the dead, and what they suffer in their graves of punishment if they are sinners, or of bliss if they are righteous. They also say to the deceased's family: Your deceased so-and-so is such and such, and he is being punished in the grave because of a bad deed he committed, so pay off his debt and try to atone for him.
Please inform us about these people: do they speak the truth, or are they sorcerers who want to extort people's money? May Allah reward us with good for you. And if these people speak in fabrication and lies, what is obligatory for us toward them?
Answer:
These people are considered among the liars and sorcerers, and those who want to extort people's money unjustly, or for people to exalt them and say about them: they know the unseen. This is known by none but Allah. Allah has hidden from people the punishment and bliss of those in the graves. So the one who claims to know the punished from the blessed is a wretched liar. He must be boycotted, rebuked, and punished, if he is in a Muslim state, until he repents from his bad work. He should not be believed, nor should one pay any attention to him at all, because he is a criminal liar. We ask Allah for safety and well-being. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
