Is sound belief sufficient in place of action and steadfastness?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is correct belief sufficient in place of action and steadfastness upon the Shari'ah of Allah?

Answer:
Correct belief is not sufficient in place of action; action is necessary:
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deedsإِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ
[Luqman: 8].
Therefore, a person must believe in Allah and His Messenger, believe in the oneness of Allah, and act: he must perform the obligatory acts of Allah and refrain from the prohibitions of Allah. Both are necessary:
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure.إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ
[Luqman 31:8]
, so faith and action are both required.
