Ruling on a woman maintaining ties with her husband's relatives who do not wish to see her

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listening sister, Umm Zaydun, asks and says: When I go to my husband's relatives, I feel some annoyance. Does not going to them count as severing family ties? Please guide us, O honorable Shaykh.

Answer:
Do what is best, do what is best with your husband's relatives. If you see that they do not wish for you to come, do not come. If you see that they wish for you to come, visit them, for the sake of reconciliation and for the sake of cooperating in good. If you see that they do not wish for you to come, there is no harm in not coming. And if you visit them, use kind words and a good manner, and do not be a burden; sit lightly, then return to your home. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
