What is the treatment for the hardness of hearts?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the treatment for the hardness of hearts, which has become prevalent in this time, where the Qur'an is read but few weep?

Answer:
Its treatment is: repentance to Allah. The treatment for the hardness of hearts is repentance to Allah, increasing the recitation of the Qur'an, increasing the remembrance of Allah , being cautious of sins and disobedience, repenting to Allah from them, keeping the company of the righteous, and being cautious of the wicked. All of this is a treatment:
Turning to the Book of Allah with reflection, and increasing the remembrance of Allah.
And increasing prayer and worship.
And repenting to Allah from sins.
And striving for lawful earnings, and staying away from what is forbidden.
And keeping the company of the good and the righteous. If you do not find them, then stay in your home, except at the time of prayer. And if you do not find the righteous, then go from your home to the mosque, and from the mosque to your home, except for a dire necessity that you take from the market.
And if you find the righteous, then stick to them and keep their company. They are those who remember Allah, help in His obedience, remind of His right, and stay away from sins and evils.
