The Ruling on Using Prayer Beads

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of his questions says: May Allah preserve you, O Shaykh, what is the ruling on the misbaha (prayer beads)? Is it a bid'ah (religious innovation), and what is the aspect of innovation in that?

Answer:
There is no harm in it, but it should be at home. With people, use your fingers in the mosque, and with people, use your fingers; that is better. At home, while sitting in your house, there is nothing wrong with using them to remember Allah, but the fingers are better in every situation. As for in the mosque with people, the Sunnah is to use the fingers, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions used to count with their fingers. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
