What is the meaning of "leniency in religion"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is meant by "leniency in religion"?

Answer:
It means hoping for repentance. Allah may forgive a person if he dies in that state without repenting, but there is no repentance or forgiveness for shirk (associating partners with Allah). The danger of killing is immense; a person may be punished in the Fire, and Allah may not accept his repentance or forgive him. As Allah threatened him with the Fire and eternal abode therein if he kills without right, he may not be forgiven. He may be punished and not leave the Fire until after a period of time. Although a monotheist is not made to abide in it eternally, killing is a serious matter and may not be forgiven. We ask Allah for well-being.
