How should young people be advised to verify matters and avoid impulsiveness?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We observe these days an increase in the activity of the enemies of Allah, the secularists and others, plotting against the youth of the awakening. However, the youth must verify things, be steady, and calculate everything so that they are not lured into what has no good outcome. We ask your Eminence to direct advice to our brothers in this regard?

Answer:
Yes, it is obligatory for the youth and non-youth, it is obligatory for the people of knowledge, and for every believer to verify matters and not be hasty. Likewise, it is obligatory for every believing woman to verify matters and not be hasty. If she sees or hears of something that contradicts the pure Shari'ah, she should denounce it according to her capacity with the person, advising him. A woman advises a woman and others; a woman advises, enjoins good, and forbids evil just as a man does, with her brother, with her father, with her children, with her neighbors, and with others. The believers are one thing; the believers are brothers:
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
[At-Tawbah: 71]. And the evil of haste is great, and its consequence is severe. In the hadith:
Haste is from Shaytanالعَجَلة من الشيطان
, and in the authentic hadith:
He who is deprived of gentleness is deprived of good.مَن يُحرم الرفق يُحرم الخير كله
Sunan Abi Dawud 4809Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
So it is obligatory for the one who sees something of evil in the road or in the market to denounce it with kind words: "O servant of Allah, O handmaiden of Allah, this is not permissible. It is obligatory for you, O servant of Allah, to do such and such. It is obligatory for you, O handmaiden of Allah, to do such and such. May Allah guide us and you, and may Allah grant us and you success; because this brings hearts closer and invites them to acceptance. As for saying: "O sinner, O wicked one, O such and such," this causes aversion and hostility, and it may lead to argument and fighting.
So it is obligatory for the believer and the believing woman in such a position to have gentleness and wisdom:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdomادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ
[An-Nahl 16:125]
which is knowledge
and the good exhortationوَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ
encouraging and warning
and argue with them in a way that is bestوَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
[An-Nahl: 125]. In case of doubt, argue in the best manner, even if it is with a disbeliever, in the best manner. Allah the Exalted said:
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is bestوَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
[Al-'Ankabut 29:46]
, and the People of the Book are the Jews and the Christians
except for those of them who commit wrongإِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا
[Al-'Ankabut: 46], except for the one who wrongs and transgresses against you and insults you. For this, you raise the matter, you complain to the authorities so that they take your right from him, so that there is no fitnah.
And the point of all this is that it is obligatory to advise one another, to enjoin good, and to forbid evil with wisdom, kind words, and good style, not with violence and harshness, and not with ugly, repulsive words.
