Rulings on the Sunnah of Wudu

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our brother asks and says: Is it authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he prayed the Sunnah of wudu, and what is the number of its rak'ahs? And if a person prays the voluntary prayer of Zuhr, for example, does that exempt him from the two rak'ahs of wudu? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he performed wudu and perfected the wudu, then he prayed two rak'ahs, then he said:
Whoever performs Wudu' as I have done, then prays two rak'ahs without letting his thoughts wander, his previous sins will be forgiven.من توضأ نحو وضوئي هذا ثم صلى ركعتين لا يحدث فيها نفسه غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
Sunan an-Nasa'i 84Sahih (Darussalam)
. This is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) from the hadith of Uthman, and from other hadiths, and its number is two rak'ahs; the Sunnah of wudu is two rak'ahs.
It is also established that he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Bilal ahead of him in Paradise when he entered Paradise when he was raised to the sky, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Bilal, saying:
I heard the sound of your footsteps and the slapping of your sandals ahead of me in Paradise. So which of your deeds is the most hopeful?إني سمعت صوت قدميك دف نعليك أمامي في الجنة فأي عملك أرجى؟
. He said: "I did not perform wudu except that I prayed two rak'ahs" . So the prayer of the two rak'ahs is a Sunnah and an act of devotion after wudu.
And if he prays the greeting of the mosque, or the regular voluntary prayer of Zuhr, or the regular voluntary prayer of Fajr; it takes the place of the Sunnah of wudu, and the objective is achieved by it. It counts for this and for that: he performed wudu, then he prayed two rak'ahs of the Fajr Sunnah, or the greeting of the mosque, or the Sunnah of Duha, and the objective is achieved for this and for that, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: Praise be to Allah. May Allah reward you with good.
