Is the slaughter of a woman permissible, and is it permissible to eat from it?

From Tabuk, a message was sent by our brother: Salim Salama Muhammad. He has two questions. In his first question, he asks about the slaughter of a woman: is it permissible, and is it permissible to eat from it? What is your guidance?

Answer:
Yes, the slaughter of a woman is permissible if she is Muslim or a People of the Book, from the Jews or the Christians.
The slaughter of Muslims, both men and women, and the slaughter of the People of the Book, both men and women, is all permissible, provided it is done in the manner prescribed by the Shari'ah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) validated the slaughter of a woman.
She is like a man in all rulings, except for what is specified by evidence. So her slaughter is like that of a man. If she slaughters in the manner prescribed by the Shari'ah, whether the animal is from sheep, cattle, camels, game, chickens, pigeons, or other edible animals, her slaughter is permissible if it is done in the manner prescribed by the Shari'ah. Yes.
