Ruling on Taking Items from the Mosque and Replacing Them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner asks and says: Is it permissible to take Qur'ans and books from the mosque and replace them with others, such as a person taking a Qur'an from the mosque and putting another one in a different edition and color? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is not permissible for any Muslim to take anything from the Qur'ans or books of the mosque; because the one who placed them intended for Muslims to benefit from them in this mosque, so no one has the right to take them from the mosque, nor from its library, but rather they remain for the people of the mosque and those who consult the library. And if he wishes to increase and place other books and other Qur'ans, may Allah reward him with good.
As for taking a Qur'an because it is more suitable for him due to the quality of its printing, or the size of its letters, and bringing another Qur'an or another book, no, rather he leaves what is in the mosque for the mosque, for the people of the mosque, and in the mosque's library.
And if there is a surplus in the Qur'ans, there is no harm in transferring them to another mosque, if there is a surplus in them and no need for some of them, they are transferred to another mosque in need. And likewise, if there are many books in the library, and there are libraries attached to other mosques that need them, and some are transferred there, there is no harm, except if the owner of the book specified this particular library that it remains in it, then it remains in it. Yes.
