Ruling on a woman studying in coeducational universities

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a sister asking. She says: that she is a committed girl, by the grace of Allah, and He has bestowed upon her taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), the sweetness of faith, and lowering the gaze. She says: that she is in a coeducational university, and her family is not committed, and she wears the hijab without a face covering. So, does she bear sin because she reveals her face?

Answer:
It is not permissible for her to study mixed with the male students, and it is not permissible for her to reveal her face. Rather, it is obligatory for her to observe the hijab and to avoid free mixing of men and women, even if she leaves her studies until a non-mixed study option becomes available for her. This is because mixed study is a means to great evil if she is with the boys in the classrooms. And she must not reveal her face; rather, she must cover it. Allah says:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
[Al-Ahzab: 53], and He the Exalted says:
not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathersوَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ
[An-Nur: 31], the verse. And the face is among the greatest of adornments. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
