How to confront discouragement from calling to Allah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A questioner says: I am a man who engages in da'wah (calling to Islam), guidance, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and pointing out wrongdoings to people. But there are those who oppose me and say: "You are interfering in what does not concern you," and "You are stirring up fitnah (trial, discord or temptation)." What is the ruling in this matter?

Answer:
If you have knowledge and you call to Allah with insight, do not pay attention to those who discourage you. Call to Allah, teach the people, enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong, with forbearance, patience, seeking reward from Allah, and good speech. As Allah the Exalted said:
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
[Surah al-Tawbah: 71], and He the Exalted said:
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongكُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
[Surah Aal 'Imran: 110], and He the Exalted said:
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
[Surah Fussilat: 33], and He the Exalted said:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is bestادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
[Surah al-Nahl: 125].
So continue with that as long as you have knowledge, and remain steadfast upon it. Do not pay attention to those who discourage you. But you must have wisdom, and you must follow the words of Allah and His Messenger. Place things in their proper places, and have forbearance and patience, and do not be hasty in matters. You must have gentleness and good speech.
