What is the difference between the disagreement of the disbelievers and the disagreement of the People of the Book?

Question:
His saying, the Exalted:
And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to themوَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاخْتَلَفُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ
[Al Imran:105], this verse refers to the Jews and the Christians. Likewise, we find that when the Messenger came to Quraysh, they disagreed and split apart, even though they had knowledge, just like the Jews and the Christians. It is the same path, the same method; that is, they denied it just as the People of the Book denied it.

Answer:
Those are the foundation of evil. The Jews and the Christians disagreed after knowledge came to them. So Allah forbids the community from doing as they did, because the ignorant ones have no knowledge. Quraysh and their like have no knowledge. So Allah forbids the Ummah of Muhammad from disagreeing as the People of the Book disagreed after knowledge came to them. The Torah came to them, and the Gospel came to them, and they disagreed. They were not content with what was revealed to them.
As for the disagreement of the disbelievers, this is a disagreement with no foundation. It is the disagreement of ignorant people who have no matters to focus on. If disagreement focused on a specific thing is prevented, then disagreement focused on ignorance is even more deserving of prevention.
Q: Okay, are the same clear proofs that came to these people the ones that came to those people?
A: No, the clear proofs are different. These people have no clear proofs. They have nothing but ignorance. Quraysh and their like have nothing but ignorance. They have no clear proofs.
