The ruling on men and women sitting together in one gathering to converse

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
......؟

Answer:
If the women are with women and the men are with men, with no exposure of the men and no display of adornment, there is nothing wrong with it.
As for them all gathering together without veiling and without regard, this is not permissible. However, if the women are with women at a time when there is no staying up late, no wasting of time, and they do not gather for falsehood, there is nothing wrong with it. If the women visit their female neighbors, this is good between neighbors, but on the condition that it is not for any ill purpose, not for any sinful act, meaning that it should not be for a bad deed, and there should be no exposure to the neighbor or to the neighbor's husband or the like. Rather, there should be modesty, covering, and hijab, with women with women and men with men, in a state free from disobedience. Rather, these should be appropriate visits within appropriate limits, and gatherings suitable for relieving the mind and providing recreation, and for the conversation that is customary between neighbors. This is permissible.
