The ruling on stepping on the grave with the feet during burial

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
When the deceased is buried and the earth is thrown over him, is it necessary for them to step on it with their feet, or not?

Answer:
When the deceased is buried, it is not to be stepped on, but the earth is covered with the hands, sprinkled with water, and pebbles are placed on it, then supplication is made for him for forgiveness and steadfastness. This is what is prescribed, and it is not to be stepped on, not stepped on with the foot, nor trampled upon. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not pray in the graves, and do not sit on themلا تصلوا في القبور، ولا تجلسوا عليها
Narrated by Muslim in the Sahih.
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It is better that one of you should sit on live coals which burn his clothing and come in contact with his skin than that he should sit on a graveلأن يجلس أحدكم على جمرة، فتصل إلى جلده، فتحرقه خير له من أن يجلس على قبر
