The Ruling on the Hadith: On the Day of Resurrection, every thousand of the people

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the authenticity of the hadith that says: On the Day of Resurrection, every thousand of the people, one enters Paradise, and nine hundred and ninety-nine enter the Fire?

Answer:
This is an authentic hadith. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah commands on the Day of Resurrection. Allah calls Adam on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah says to Adam on the Day of Resurrection: "Send out the people of the Fire." He says: "My Lord, what is the number of the people of the Fire?" He says: "From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine are in the Fire, and one is in Paradise."
But he said in a hadith: "You are in two nations that were not in any other except that they multiplied: Ya'juj and Ma'juj." So these are all the disbelievers, and the one who is safe is one.
This indicates the multitude of disbelievers in the past and the present, and otherwise the disbelievers are far more numerous, and that the people of Paradise are few. And yet, on the Day of Resurrection, there will be a crowd at the gates of Paradise, and pressure upon it from the multitude of those entering Paradise. So the Fire is a greater and larger matter; because most of creation follow their desires, disobey their Lord, do not obey the messengers, and do not submit to what they brought. This is the state of the majority, as He the Exalted said:
And most of the people, although you strive [for it], are not believers.
[Yusuf: 103].
And He the Exalted says:
And few of My servants are grateful.
[Saba: 13]. And He (peace and blessings be upon him) says: :
except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and few are they.
[Sad: 24]. And He says in the story of the prophets, after every story:
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
[Al-Shu'ara: 8].
