The time when a person’s performance of the obligatory Hajj is valid for himself

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A message was received for the program from the Arab Republic of Egypt, sent by our brother Faisal Muhammad Jaber. Our brother asks and says: Is the Hajj valid for a person who is thirty years old?
Answer: Yes, anyone who has reached puberty has a valid Hajj for himself and has fulfilled the obligation thereby, whether he is fifteen years old or less or more. The point is that if he is a person of legal age who has reached puberty by completing fifteen years, or by the emission of semen during a wet dream or while awake due to desire, or by the growth of coarse hair around the private parts; then by this he is a person of legal age. And if he performs Hajj in this state or after it, then his Hajj is valid and fulfills the obligation.
As for if his Hajj was before puberty and he was a child; then it is considered a voluntary Hajj, a supererogatory act, and it does not fulfill the Hajj of Islam for him unless he performed it after reaching puberty. There is no specific age limit; the important thing is that he is of legal age. Puberty is reached by one of three things: either completing fifteen years, which is the most correct of the scholars’ opinions and the opinion of the majority, or the growth of coarse hair around the private parts, or a wet dream involving the emission of semen during sleep or while awake due to desire; such as through thinking, or due to looking or touching, causing the emission of semen due to desire. Then by this he is of legal age and a person of legal obligation.
The woman is the same in this regard. If she reaches fifteen years, or grows the hair around the private parts, the known coarse hair, or emits due to a wet dream or otherwise due to desire, and there is a fourth matter added, which is menstruation. If one of these four is found in her, she becomes a person of legal obligation, and her Hajj is valid as an obligation. Before that, it is a supererogatory act and does not fulfill the obligation. Yes.
