The ruling on one who left fasting Ramadan for several years

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second message in this episode came from the questioner, Mus'ad ibn Marzuq al-Sanani, from Yanbu'. We had previously presented a question from this message of his in one of the past episodes, and now we are presenting the remaining questions to your Eminence. He says: A woman is thirty years old and has not fasted during this period. She did not deny the obligation of fasting, but she is burdened with heavy work, namely herding camels and sheep in the desert. What is the ruling regarding her situation? Does she have to make up the fasts or not?
Answer: It is obligatory for her to make up the fasts along with repentance to Allah, seeking forgiveness, and doing much good work; such as prayer, charity, and the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). This is what is obligatory for her: to make up the fasts that have passed, with sincere repentance, regret for what has passed, frequent seeking of forgiveness, remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and charity if she has wealth, along with other good deeds. As He said (peace and blessings be upon him):
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى
[Ta-Ha:82], and He said regarding the polytheist, the fornicator, and the murderer if he repents:
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with goodإِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُوْلَئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ
[Al-Furqan:70]. So she must repent to Allah with sincere repentance and make up the fasts. In addition to making up the fasts, she must feed one poor person for each day as an extra, feeding one poor person for each of the past days she left in the past years before the last Ramadan. She feeds for each day one poor person, even if it was many months, if she has the ability. If she is poor, then nothing is required of her; fasting is sufficient for her. But if she is wealthy and has money, she feeds one poor person for each day, as a group of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) issued a ruling. The feeding is half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg), half a sa' for each day, meaning: approximately one and a half kilograms of the staple food of the country, whether rice or corn, or wheat or dates, according to the staple food of the country, along with the fasting. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents. Yes...
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
