The Obligation of Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil upon Men and Women

Your sister in Islam (A) from the land of Ghamid in al-Jarshi asks a set of questions. In one of her questions, she says: What is the ruling for a girl if she sees her female counterparts wearing clothes that reveal their bodies? Should she forbid them, or what should she do?
Answer: Yes, she must forbid the one she sees committing what is wrong, just like other men and women; because Allah the Exalted says: [At-Tawbah: 71]. So if she sees among her companions or others transparent clothes that reveal the awrah (part of the body that must be covered), it is obligatory for her to forbid it with kind words and good advice. Or if she sees among them laxity in the hijab (the covering prescribed for women), or laxity in the prayer, or sees from them other things that are wrong, then she forbids them and calls them to what is right. This is what is obligatory upon every believer, male and female. People are in a good state as long as they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. If they neglect this obligation, punishments will encompass them, and there is no power or strength except with Allah. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: . And this is an obligation upon the believers to enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and likewise the believing women, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted and Glorified: [At-Tawbah: 71], the verse. So it is obligatory upon all women, whether they are students or teachers or otherwise, that they fear Allah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, exactly like the men. Yes.
