A man asked a wealthy man to give him money to perform the obligatory Hajj, so he gave him money; is his Hajj valid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A man asked a wealthy man of comfortable means to give him money to enable him to perform Hajj to the House of Allah the Exalted to fulfill the obligation of Hajj, so he gave him money. Is the man's Hajj valid?

The Shaykh : His Hajj is valid, but asking people for money for the sake of Hajj is a mistake, and it is not permissible for him to ask people for money to perform Hajj with, even if it is the obligatory Hajj, because this is asking without need, since the one who is unable does not have the obligation upon him.
Asking people without need, I fear that the one who asks people without need will fall into this severe warning:
The person would continue begging from people till he would come on the Day of Resurrection and there would be no flesh on his face. أن الرجل لا يزال يسأل الناس حتى يأتي يوم القيامة وليس في وجهه مزعة لحم
Sahih Muslim 1040c
, and refuge is sought in Allah, because he peeled his face by asking people, so the punishment was that his face was peeled for this asking. Let a man fear Allah in himself, and not ask except in dire necessity, where if he did not ask, he would perish or be harmed.
