The ruling on the statement that it is permissible to act according to all four schools of jurisprudence

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In one of the schools, one of the brother teachers says: “It is permissible to act according to all four schools of jurisprudence, and that the Messenger acted according to all of them.” Is this correct?

Answer:
No, he does not know. The four schools of jurisprudence are the opinions of four scholars who may err in some of them. So whoever takes from them what agrees with the evidence has hit the mark, and whoever leaves what contradicts the evidence has hit the mark. As for the one who takes from them what agrees with his desire, even if it contradicts the evidence, he is mistaken and a sinner.
And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted them, and it is not said: “The Messenger acted according to them.” He accepted them (peace and blessings be upon him), and he is the one to be followed (peace and blessings be upon him). So whatever agrees with his saying, his Sunnah, and his method is the truth, and whatever contradicts what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is upon is invalid.
And the four schools of jurisprudence mean: the opinions of the four scholars, the scholars of the Muslims: al-Shafi'i, Abu Hanifah, Ahmad, and Malik. They are called scholars, and they are called the holders of the four schools of jurisprudence, because their followers branched out based on their opinions and wrote about their opinions and views, so these schools became famous. They are four scholars, and good prevails over them, and correctness prevails over them.
And they are true scholars and imams of guidance, but some errors may occur from some of them, some mistakes. So if you know that this is an error from the saying of Malik, or Abu Hanifah, or Ahmad, or al-Shafi'i, if the scholar knows it, he discards the error. They advised, they said: “We err.” They advised the people, they advised those after them, they said: “Do not follow us blindly, take the good from where we took it.” And they said: “If our saying contradicts the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), then leave our saying and throw it to the wall, and do not take it.” They advised the people (may Allah be pleased with them and have mercy on them). So whatever of their opinions agrees with the truth, it is taken, and whatever contradicts the truth, it is left. And their opinions are not all in agreement with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). No, rather there is error in them, and there is correctness, and although correctness is the prevailing factor, praise be to Allah, but some error may occur from some of them.
